§ 1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Mantra Japa mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

§ 2 Use of the App

• Personal Use: The App is intended for your personal, non-commercial use as a spiritual tracking utility.
• No Accounts: We do not require you to create an account on our servers. All app functionalities operate locally on your device.
• Lawful Use: You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

§ 3 Your Data and Backups

Because Mantra Japa is a local-first application:

• Local Storage: All data you enter (mantras, categories, counts) is stored locally on your device's internal storage.
• Responsibility for Backups: You are solely responsible for backing up your data. The App provides tools to export your data locally or to your personal Google Drive, but we cannot recover lost data if you lose your device, uninstall the app without backing up, or clear your device storage.
• No Developer Access: We have no access to your mantras, history, or backup files.

§ 4 Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Google Drive API solely to allow you to backup and restore your data. By using this feature, you also agree to Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability, security, or reliability of Google Drive or any other third-party services you use to store your exports.

§ 5 Intellectual Property

All original content, features, design, and functionality of the App are owned by Narsing Shah and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App without explicit permission.

§ 6 Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be completely error-free, that data loss will never occur, or that it will be compatible with all devices or future operating system updates.

§ 7 Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Narsing Shah be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, loss of device functionality, or emotional distress resulting from your use of or inability to use the App, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.

§ 8 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Any material changes will be communicated through an app update or the Google Play Store listing. By continuing to use the App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
